	BROTHER'S PROMISE

I have seen the heart of the buffalo
And the birds taught my dreams how to fly
I have been to the mountains and canyons
I have lived with the spirit of the sky

You have been to the land of our Nature
And the others would follow your call
You have seen our clans and our families
You have promised a land for us all

I have called you my friend and my brother
And the coyotes have witnessed our pact
I have signed with my blood all your papers
I have taken your sweet words for fact

	A brother's promise, a lie
And on mountains and canyons the sun did not shine
	A brother's promise, a lie
When I blindly believed that your dreams are like mine

You have sold our dreams to your own kind
And the moon watched them taking this land
You have lied to your friends and your brother
You have broken the word of a man

I have called you my friend and my brother
And the coyotes have witnessed our pact
I have signed with my blood all your papers
I have taken your sweet words for fact

	A brother's promise, a lie
And the moon disappeared on the trail of tears
	A brother's promise, a lie
When your horsemen and soldiers defeated us here

As long as the water flows our blood will flow
As long as the grass grows our sorrow will grow
I will always call you a brother
This trail of tears will never end

	CIRCLEDANCE

	Blackwinds and Bluewaters
And I felt her coming there
oh, Mother earth and mother star
you who have a thousand names

	You are the seed
	You are the bread
	you let us breathe
	Every single day
From our birth to the death
	You give us rebirth again

	New horizon drawing near
She will come soon I feel fear
Is here little time for me
The Journey will take me, now she's here

I lost my thrills the sign was luminous
Guide me through the vision that I saw

	Far away from this tribe
	Leads your love
We are the blood in your veins
and we're waiting for that day
You're holy darkness and pure light
You're balance of human life by your
pure restless mind we're dancing in you
	forever

	FACE THE SNAKE

In looking back, it seems I've been in the favour of the stars
	So many battles fought, so many won;
I realize everything that i tried has turned out right
I should be proud of what I have become.

A warrior at heart, I am a hero in their words.
For the king and country I would gladly die.
I gathered fame and fortune from too many simple fights
I wonder if they'll ever see the lie.

It seems it's time to face the snake
twisting in pain, twisting in hate.
I guess it's time to face the snake again.

I guess it's time to face the snake
twisting in pain, twisting in hate.
I guess it's time to face the snake again.

	FEAR

I race through time, and when I die, what will be left of me?
Am I the only one to take the blame?
The lie was mine, I played my game; I risked it all,
But I lost. And still they make a hero of my name.
The lie was mine, I played my game; I risked it all.

I tried to fight the snake inside. I tried to keep it down.
But in the end surrendered to my fears.
I cannot hide much longer that I'm not what they believe
The shadow that I am will disappear ...

	Would never run away, I never needed to;
Nothing to fear from the outside.
You would believe that I would have succeeded in
keeping my fears from the inside.

	MERCENARY

Here and there, back and forth
What to do to end this caravan
I cast my thoughts back in time
I hear these words "so you're leaving us"
That's the thanks I get of working my fingers to the bone

So many unexpected things in life
are fullfilled by the happiness and lies

My eyes so glazed, My mind so amazed
	Another prophet of disaster
Leaving me to count the time
	I'm victim of war
	I'm dozing in the time
The miles flew by and my beast is running wild

So many unexpected things in life
are fullfilled by the happiness and lies

Only our destiny can tell, Are we in heaven or in hell

I will always be on the warpath
And I will die on the no man's land

I faced it all, each this suffering
Yes I'm mercenary Back and Forth, Here and There

So many unexpected things in life
are fullfilled by the happiness and lies

Only our destiny can tell, Are we in heaven or in hell

    THE VALLEY OF EVERGREEN

behind the forests there's a valley
where ice won't touch and snow won't fall
in the valley there's a village
made of stone, now dead and cold

many years ago summer was more than just a dream
many years ago the world was alive and the sun shining bright
    in the Valley of Evergreen
    in the Valley of Evergreen

in the village there's a pillar
made of stone, two houses tall

one fine day, they took it all away
    one fine summer's day

on the pillar there's a raven
    summer's symbol, black and gold

one fine day, they took it all away
    one fine summer's day

one fine day, they took it all away
    one fine summer's day

    one fine day ...

    WISH I COULD SLEEP

I paint myself with tiger stripes to keep the foe at bay
It doesn't trick the snake, I cannot win.
To kill the beast, I cut them down, to mask the hate with pain
It cannot hurt the enemy within.

Wish I could sleep, but the fear keeps me awake.
Wish I could sleep, but the fear keeps me awake.

I hate to be so helpless, but the darkness breaks my will.
Wish I could sleep, but the fear keeps me awake.
And hate, it leads to anger, and the anger leads to hate,
And all the hate inside just feeds the snake.

Wish I could sleep, but the fear keeps me awake.
Wish I could sleep, but the fear keeps me awake.
